In the Name of Jesus

leave a comment »

Have you wondered why there aren’t more modern day miracles or answered prayers in your life and the life of your friends? What is different now from when Peter, James and John walked on the earth? I believe there are several key differences that explain this phenomenon.

Key difference # 1:

Peter, James, and John had an intimate relationship with Jesus, the Word made flesh. So much so that Jesus’ very Life and Spirit became a part of them. I believe the demonstration of this reality came when Peter spoke “Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, I freely give. In the Name of Jesus’ rise up and walk.” You see Peter had a complete revelation of the reality of Jesus’ authority and power over absolutely everything. A dynamic compound of action borne out of revealed faith summoned the Spirit of God to work on Peter’s behalf.

Key difference # 2:

I want to challenge the reader: Has this expression “in the Name of Jesus” become nothing more than Christian-speak or jargon to you? Do you routinely end many if not all of your prayers with it, not giving it a second thought? Unfortunately, this habit may seem harmless; however we must recognize the heinousness of doing it. To trivialize the expression like adding salt or pepper to our meals is no different than driving a stake into Jesus’ hands or feet on the cross. In other words, Jesus’ sacrifice MUST have been worth more than Christian verbal “pixie dust”.

Key difference # 3:

We have forgotten that God’s Word and Holy Spirit inspired words are loaded with creation power. May I remind you that Jesus spoke, and things were created from nothing more than His Words? In our hurried mundane lives, we have completely overlooked this aspect of relationship with God. The same Power (One) that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is alive inside us, so our words bring reality of what we speak into existence whether it is life or death. Is your life focused on bringing life to others? Does your speech reconcile with this focus?

Selah.

What about you?

Been to the woodshed lately? No, I mean behind it, as in taken back there for a little “correction” shall we say. Yes it hurt, but I take comfort in the fact that God still cares and won’t leave me the way He found me. So what did He say?

“When are you going to stop making excuses for what you THINK I can’t or won’t do with/through you?”

Ouch. And He continued.

“When are you going to get out of the way, and simply do what you already know how to do? Create an environment where I (The Lord) can join you and manifest myself among you and others there, and show them who I AM?”

You see, He’s done listening to the “But God, I’m not this (or that) yet. I need to do [something bigger that requires more skill, money, help, etc than I currently have]” Newsflash: He already knows what you do/don’t have!!

“Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any man hears Me and opens the door, behold I will come in and sup with him.”

Have you cleared the overgrown brush, the weeds, the tricycles etc. from in front of your heart’s door so that He can come and knock on it?

Are you listening for His knocking?

So often we look at the above scripture reference and file it away and pull it out as we lead someone to Christ.

So do you only visit your friends’ houses 1 time only and never again? I don’t think so, especially not if they’re close. You visit OFTEN especially when there’s food involved!

How much more does God want to visit with us and share His Food with us? Much more frequently than we give Him room to do so in our busy lives.

So that’s where I’ve been.

How about you?

Father’s Passionate Heart

leave a comment »

Step out into what I’ve called you

My Fire will be there with you

Wonders and marvels will men see

Only the beginning, just a glimpse of Me

Fury and force will I bring to those

Who deny My Offering, Who thumb their nose

My Son My Offering so great a price

A ransom for many, many lost lives

Let them now see, a mystery so great

And walk away from a heart filled with hate

His arms open wide, His Love so great,

With us He longs to celebrate

For all time, throughout all space

Not with one, but every human race

So come and yield to Him your heart

Your eternity and future, now to start

Gone and forgotten are your sins of the past

Whom the Son sets free is free at last.

The Name of Jesus – Prophetic Word

My Name will make way in your city
My Name will bring deliverance in your city
My Name will bring healing in your city
Declare My Name and My Power will follow and meet you there
Declare My Name and I will anoint you to:
* set captives free
* bind-up the broken-hearted
* deliver the oppressed
* heal the sick
* preach My Word
* declare the acceptable year of the Lord

Now, now, now, now, now

My grace is sufficient
My Name is sufficient
My Name is sufficient
My Spirit is sufficient

Current Drought Condition

leave a comment »

Because you have allowed the spirit of Jezebel and idolatry to control your assemblies, I the Lord your God have shut up the heavens and withheld the rain, just as I did in the days of Ahab.  Ahab’s wickedness and stubbornness brought on the three and one-half year drought.  Today, your drought in the natural not only signifies My judgment but also your spiritual condition.  Your continued reliance on self, reputation, and praise of men will bring famine, pestilence and further judgments from Me.

You must humble yourself in My sight says the Lord, repent for your wickedness, and declare the I alone AM the Lord your God and that you are nothing without me.  Take what is precious and return to Me says the Lord, and I will restore and preserve you in these last days despite all that will come against you. I will once again open the heavens and pour forth the rain you need.

Where Are My Shepherds

leave a comment »

Where Are My Shepherds?

Received 24 June 2009

Where are My shepherds?

My sheep are hungry.

Where are My shepherds?

My sheep need to find living water.

My sheep are longing for green pastures in which to feed, to rest, and to be fruitful and multiply.

Yet instead, they are wandering; looking for those I’ve sent to shepherd them.

But where are they?

Are they too busy building their own empires with TV ministries and exploits for this world that fill their time and take their energies instead of pursuing Me and doing My exploits?

For those who remain faithful I say unto you, you WILL abide with Me forever and I WILL reveal myself to you in greater measure than before.

It’s time once again to prove to the prophets of Baal that I AM the One and true God and I will do it says the Lord.

Call on Me in these last days to demonstrate My Word so that this unbelieving and perverse generation might believe.  Yes even those in churches.  Everything has been so watered down that it doesn’t even resemble My Word that is ALIVE and FULL of POWER, ready to be PERFORMED for those who believe.  Go and proclaim it and I will do as you ask in My Name.

A Glimpse of Father’s Heart

with one comment

– Those who have an ear, let them hear what He would say to them

One voice My Voice have I given you

One voice My Voice to hear and proclaim

One voice My Voice to shout aloud and declare My works

One voice My Voice in unity and blessing

There I command it says the Lord

There I will visit says the Lord

There I will move the hearts and minds of men and women

There I will change men and women forever

No longer bound to sin and sickness

No longer bound by systems of this world

No longer bound by opinions of men; but…

Fashioned for My Purpose

Fashioned for My Plans

Fashioned for My Return

Come and come quickly;

For a bride must prepare herself for her wedding

My Father is soon coming to get Me (for the wedding) and

We’ll meet you (there) soon.

Watch and pray

Seek Me while I may be found

Don’t be drawn away by your own desires or those of others

Wait on and for Me

Be still and know I AM.

Received 21 Jun 2009 during worship.

What a loving Father we have in God.  His thoughts and plans for us are incredible.  See what else He has to say in Matthew Chapter 7, verses 8-11

For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”
